Our Story

Tsaqwa Consulting was founded on the principle that respectful relationships with Indigenous peoples are built through listening, trust, and long-term partnership—not simply through regulatory compliance.

Drawing on decades of leadership in Indigenous Relations, public service, infrastructure, emergency management, and organizational governance, we help organizations strengthen their capacity to work respectfully and effectively with Indigenous communities.

Tsaqwa is the traditional Nuxalk name of company founder and principal Christopher Hans.  Passed to him through his family, the traditional name reflects generations of cultural identity, responsibility, and connection to community.
